By accessing this website or booking a session, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or book services.

1. Services Provided

Nicola Welsh Counselling provides professional counseling and therapeutic services.

  • Counseling is not a substitute for urgent medical intervention or emergency psychiatric care.
  • If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or a crisis involving harm to yourself or others, please call emergency services (such as 999 or 111) or go to your nearest Accident and Emergency (A&E) department immediately.

2. Eligibility & Bookings

  • To book a session, you must be at least 18 years old (or have explicit written parental/guardian consent if the practice accommodates minors).
  • Bookings made through the website, email, or telephone are subject to availability and confirmation.

3. Cancellation and Missed Sessions Policy

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.

  • Notice Period: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, you must give at least 24 hours' notice.
  • Late Arrival: If you arrive late to a session, the session will still end at the scheduled time.

4. Confidentiality & Privacy

  • Your privacy is paramount. All counseling sessions are strictly confidential in accordance with the professional ethical framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
  • Exceptions to Confidentiality: Confidentiality may be broken if there is a legal obligation to do so, or if we reasonably believe there is a severe risk of harm to yourself or someone else.
  • Your personal data is processed strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with UK data protection laws (UK GDPR).

5. Intellectual Property
